What is akira taue?

Akira Taue is a retired Japanese professional wrestler who competed for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) from 1988 to 2013. Born on May 8, 1961, in Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan, Taue trained under AJPW founder Giant Baba and made his debut in 1988.

Taue was known for his tall stature and unique wrestling style, which incorporated his background in sumo and amateur wrestling. He found success in tag team competition, forming successful partnerships with Toshiaki Kawada and Mitsuharu Misawa. Taue and Kawada were known as "Holy Demon Army," and they won the AJPW World Tag Team Championship multiple times.

In singles competition, Taue achieved success by winning the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship in 1996. He also held the All Asia Tag Team Championship and the World Tag Team Championship during his career.

Taue retired from in-ring competition in 2013 and currently works as a backstage producer for AJPW. He is highly respected in the wrestling community for his contributions to the industry and his technical prowess in the ring.
